For 50 years, CYC has provided the youth of our city a sense of belonging and vital tools and experiences to succeed in life.
CYC serves over 8,000 youth each year and is one of only a few agencies in San Francisco addressing the needs of a diverse population of low-income, high-need, and at-risk Asian Pacific American, Latino and African American youth.
Our services include academic and college counseling, job placement and employment training, substance abuse and violence prevention education, crisis intervention and mediation, leadership development, and technology and computer training.
CYC’s Bayview office was a designated Questionnaire Assistance Center that was designed to help the community fill the census. With the Bayview office being closed, the team is now using WeChat to educate and encourage over 200 community members to use the power of their voices to be heard and counted.
CYC’s Powerwash Mobile Team continues to provide essential services during shelter-in-place. The team works early mornings and late nights keeping the city’s trash receptacles clean for public use. Over 3,000 trash receptacles spanning the entire city are continuously cleaned by CYC all year round.
